Passenger Incident on Ryanair Flight
A passenger on a Ryanair flight experienced a terrifying moment when he was almost pulled out of the aircraft through a cabin window. His wife recounted the ordeal, describing her fear as she and another passenger attempted to hold him inside the plane.
Mid-Air Emergency
The plane had been in flight for about ten minutes when it suddenly descended by 9,000 feet (approximately 2,700 meters). Passengers reported hearing a loud noise, which they described as an explosion. This rapid descent was due to a window dislodging mid-flight.
Response and Aftermath
Following the incident, the aircraft returned to Thessaloniki, Greece, shortly after takeoff. A 61-year-old Serbian man was treated for friction burns at a local hospital, according to a Greek medical official.
Official Statement
Ryanair issued a statement confirming that the flight from Thessaloniki to Memmingen, Germany, had to return shortly after departure because of the window issue.
